The Seminar on Sexual Education in Childhood and Adolescence” continuing under the title of “ Reproductive Health and Rights”, was held with the support of the TAP Foundation and UNHCR in the context of the Refugee Association. Early on the seminar, it was mentioned why sexual education matters and basic information on sexuality was given. Within this scope, it was expounded at what age should sex education should begin and how the sexual development has been changed in the course of time.
Women who participated in the seminar were spoken of how to approach as a parent in accordance with the physical changes occurring in puberty. Women participants shared their own experiences and the questions out of curiosity were attempted to answer within the frame of sexual development and age-based approach. At the end of the seminar, hygiene kits containing several cleaning and care products were distributed to the women participants. On December, our seminars will be continued.
