Melike is a charming girl 3-year-old. Six months ago, she came to Turkey from Kyrgyzstan with her mother. Since she started walking, Melike has been falling frequently, and her falls have increased over time, causing her mother great concern. To help Melike take more confident steps in life, she needed to receive treatment before it was too late. Therefore, her mother applied to our organization.
After carefully evaluating Melike, our physiotherapist identified orthopedic deformities in her knee joints caused by a vitamin D deficiency, along with issues related to congenital problems. This was why Melike was struggling to stand and would fall as soon as she took a step. We immediately initiated the necessary physical therapy process for Melike.
During the treatment process, our partner LIMBFIT stepped in and provided a special orthosis for Melike. Last month, we took measurements for Melike and delivered her orthosis in a short time. Continuing with her exercises, Melike began to take stronger steps day by day. She can now walk more steadily and no longer experiences sudden falls. The smile on Melike’s face touched all our hearts, not just hers. This process has been a beautiful ray of hope for Melike and her mother. Now, Melike is more confident with each step she takes.
