Providing Integrated Social Services to Refugees and the Local Population

The project, which started as a Community Center Project under the donation of GIZ in 2014, is now being carried out in partnership with GIZ, donated by BMZ and ECHO. The project provides services in areas based on protection and social cohesion.

Sultanbeyli Municipality & UNHCR Career Center Project will provide job seekers, employers and students with focused consultancy services on the axis of employment and aims to develop people with skills development trainings and professional development workshops that will be created after the survey study.

The Future Designers Project

Developing the scientific, technological, cognitive and social skills of the local and asylum-seeking children and youth living in Sancaktepe, Kartal and Pendik on the Anatolian side of Istanbul, in Sultanbeyli district and the surrounding districts in accordance with the requirements of the age, by supporting their well-being and being beneficial individuals for the society in the medium and long-term economic and long-term It is aimed to realize their potential in a way that will guide the transformation in the social structure, to ensure that they are equipped individuals and to provide equality of opportunity by eliminating their disadvantages.

The STRENGTHS Project

The Resilience (RESLOG) Project

The Local Governance Resilience Project (RESLOG), which was launched in 2018, contributes to increasing the capacity of local governments in Turkey and Lebanon, two countries that have been severely affected by the Syrian crisis, in order to strengthen their resilience in the face of migration in line with the principles of peace and inclusion.

Stay Volunteer Project

Voluntariness works that we are carrying out as RASAS are supported by Think Civil’s “Bizi Bağlayan Şeyler/Thing That Bind Us” call. It is aimed in the scope of project to be provided support by 48 people to RASAS’s activities/works.

POT-A LIVINGLAB Project

RASAS hosts  LivingLab application in the scope of TUBITAK project which is supporting by Yıldız Technical University City And Regional Planning “A New Viewpoint to Adaptation and Cohesion Process of Urban Refugees: Compherensive City Constraction Aimed Social Innovasion Experiment”. LivingLab makes regular activities/workshops in a place at our association.

SIMKOTI Project

“To Determine The Principles of House Designing and TO Develop Design Suggestions To Build Houses That Is Suitable To Create Modern Life and Cultural Conditions For Social Cohesion Of Syrians Which Is Under Temporary Protection(SIMKOTI) ” project, which was carried out by Istanbul Technical University’s Architecture Faculty Interior Architecture Departmant in the scope of TUBITAK’s Programme To Support Beginning R&D Projects, was carried out in Sultanbeyli at Fatih Neighbourhood.

Pre-School Education Project

In the project which was funded by IDRF and Refugee Girls; educations are given to pre-school students in 5 different stations for their self-development and integration to cultural interactions. Thus  integral development of children will be ensured in every area. Also out of class trips and official day programmes are organized with cooperation of social cohesion deparment.

Project To Support Child And Youth Education Center

The project which was funded by Istanbul Development Agency(İSTKA) includes activities for pre-school, primary school and mid-school students such as; giving academic supportive educations, providing integral psychological counselling and guidance services, organizing social and cultural activities in order to support cohesion of local and refugee children.

This project allows disadvantaged Turks, asylum seekers and foreigners under temporary protection to create a future for themselves with Turkish language educational courses, social adaptation modules and vocational skills educational courses.

Project of Supporting Disadvantageous Ethnic Refugee Groups in Sultanbeyli By Social Cohesion started in July 2018 and finished November 2018. The project was supported and funded by European Union and Kırkayak Culture Association; strategies was built to determine  and solve the problems that disadvantegeous ethnic refugee groups lived, reports was prepared and they all was shared with public by a workshop.
