12 children from the Refugees Association pre-school, Turkish citizen and refugees, came to visit Dr. Ilhan Varank’s Library. Almost all of the children had never visited a library before. In the library at the place that is separated for children, we made a conversation about the subjects such as “ What are the rules that have to be obeyed in the library? How is searched a book? How can we borrow a book from the library?” After the children choose the books from the shelves and examine them. The children who introduce each of themselves one by one gave information about the books they examined in a few sentences. They listened to the story that their teacher prepared impatiently. We left the library after making the children member of the library.
We wish for all children to be accompanied by the book reading adventure throughout their lives.
