The “Friday Breakfasts”, a tradition followed in Syria, bring together Turkish and Syrian families. We started with a brief introduction to the first meeting of an event organized to promote social harmony. During the breakfasts, different topics were adressed such as the social life in Syria, the difficulties that the two groups experienced after coming to Turkey, the mutual communication of the Syrian and Turkish families living in Sultanbeyli. How to get ahead of possible prejudices was also question discussed. Ideas were proposed in the event that communication initiated between the two families could continue without the intermediary of the association. The families expressed their satisfaction for having met.
