Numbers of registered Syrians who are under temporary protection in Turkey has been announced on 21 October 2021 as 3.723.74 by showing an increase with 13.177 people according to last month. 1.764.863 of these people (%47,4) are children between 0-18 age. Total number of children and women are 2.637.531.

%70,8 of Syrians are Women and Children
According to the age table published by the Migration Management Syrian men are the %53,8 of the population. As for Syrian women, the number is %46,2. The number of Syrians under age 10 is 1.078.409 (%28,9). Based on the table, the number of Syrian men is 282.198 more than Syrian women. The biggest difference between the number of men-women is 70.560 and it is between the age range 19-24. As the age range increases, the difference is decreasing. It is apparent that the number of women over 55 is more than the number of men.

Rate of Young Syrian Population
There are 760.300 people defined as the young population between the range of 15-24. The rate of young Syrian population compared to the total number of Syrians is %20,4.

Age Average of Syrians
According to the table, the age average of registered Syrians is 22,2.

Number of Syrians Who Lives in Camps (Temporary Refuge Center)  
It is published that as the date of 21 October 2021, the number of Syrians who live in temporary refuge centers is 51.945. Last month (16 September 2021) this number was 52.497, it was 58.752 at the beginning of 2021, 63.247 at the beginning of 2020, 143.558 in 2019, and lastly 228.251 in 2018. Only %1,4 of the Syrians are living in the camps.

The Number of Syrians Who Lives in Cities
By the date of 21 October 2021, the number of Syrians living in the city was revealed to be 3.671.729. Compared to the last month, the number of Syrians living in the city increased by 13.729 people. %98,6 of the Syrians are living in the cities.

The Cities with the Most Density of Syrians
Istanbul is the city with the highest number of Syrians with 534.439 people. The city that comes after Istanbul is Gaziantep with the number of 458.670 people and Hatay with 437.204 people in third place. The city with the highest concentration of Syrians compared to the local population is Kilis with %42.6. There are 142 thousand 792 Turkish citizens and 106 thousand 365 registered Syrians in Kilis. Hatay follows Kilis with %20.8 in terms of Syrian density. 1 million 659 thousand 320 Turkish citizens and 437 thousand 207 Syrians live in Hatay.

The Cities with the Least Population of Syrians
The city with the least population of Syrians is Bayburt with just 25 people. Bayburt is being followed by Tunceli with 44, and Artvin with 45 people. The city with the lowest density of Syrians compared to the Turkish population is Artvin with a rate of %0.02. Artvin has a Turkish population of 169.501 people and only 45 Syrians. There is not a single city that doesn’t have Syrians.

Rate of Syrians Compared to the Turkish Population
The rate of Syrians under permanent protection compared to the Turkish population is %4,26. Turkey’s population was recently announced as 83 million 614 thousand 362 by TUIK. (As of 31 December 2020)

Number of Syrians Returned to Homeland
On September 15, 2021, it was announced by the Ministry of Internal Affairs that the number of Syrians returning to their country was 462.026. This number was last announced on December 6, 2020, and it was stated that the number of Syrians returning to their country was 419.040. Approximately in the last year, 42.986 people have returned to their country.

Number of Syrian Students Studying in Public Universities
In the statement made by the Ministry of Education in June 2021, it was stated that the number of Syrian students studying at universities in the 2021-2022 academic year was 48,192.

Number of Syrian Students Studying in Kindergarten, Primary, Middle, and Highschool
In the statement made by the Ministry of Education on June 8, 2021, it was announced that there were 35 thousand 707 students in kindergarten, 442 thousand 817 students in primary school, 348 thousand 638 students in secondary school, and 110 thousand 976 students in high school receiving education. In total, 771 thousand 428 children continue their education life. There are 432 thousand 956 children of school age who do not go to school.

Number of Companies with At least One Syrian Partner
In the statement made by the Ministry of Commerce, it was stated that by February 26, 2019, the number of companies with at least one partner of Syrian origin was 15.159.

The Number of Syrians Who Have Turkish Citizenship
In the statement made by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, it was stated that the number of Syrians granted Turkish citizenship is 110 thousand. 53 thousand of these people are adults and 57 thousand of them are children. (As the date of 30 December 2019)

The Number of Syrians Born in Turkey
In a statement on 19 September 2019, Minister of Internal Affairs Süleyman Soylu stated that the number of Syrian babies born in Turkey is around 450 thousand.
