The city with the most Syrians is Istanbul with 542 thousand 45 people. Istanbul is followed by Gaziantep with 462 thousand 697 people and Hatay with 433 thousand 875 people. The city where Syrians are most concentrated compared to the local population is Kilis with 42.4%. There are 145 thousand 826 Turkish citizens and 107 thousand 468 Syrians registered in Kilis. Kilis is followed by Hatay with 20.6% of the Syrian population.
The Cities with the Least Population of Syrians
The city with the lowest number of Syrians is Artvin with 72 people. Artvin is followed by Tunceli with 63 people and Iğdır with 79 people. The city with the lowest density of Syrians compared to the Turkish population is Iğdır with a rate of 0.03%. There is no city in Turkey where there are no Syrians.
The Ratio of Syrians to the Turkish Population
