Towards Living Together: Practices of Integration Examples from the World
Today migration and integration have become one of the main topics of many countries. Together with globalization, and with the increase of migration movements, the relations between new refugees and the local communities have gained new dimensions. With the new waves of migration, the question of how diversified populations can live together in the same community is still waiting for an answer. Danış made a speech about the integration policies of different countries and gave examples of how different groups can live together in the same place. Emphasizing the importance of migration in the receiving country, Danış said that this situation is closely related to the social acceptance of the communities. Danış also emphasized the fact that each immigrant group has turned to similar ones, and that there is a hierarchical relationship between the immigrants and the resident population. Education, health, housing, economy, etc. Danış said that integration is a multi-faceted and dynamic process that involves many different topics such as education, health, housing, economy, employment, etc., and finished her speech by questioning the importance of living together.
